The Piedmont Affinity Mentorship Program nurtures young students in our district by upholding and celebrating diversity in our student body.
Our Affinity Mentors are positive role models that meet regularly during the school year with elementary and middle school students to engage in age-appropriate and fun lessons surrounding shared identities.
We emphasize community building in a safe and nurturing environment so children really get to know their mentors and each other.
We center the shared experiences of cultural, ethnic, religious, neurodiverse, and gender-expansive students and want to normalize differences without shame, fear, or rejection.
