Piedmont Makers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting and inspiring K-12 S.T.E.A.M. education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Design, and Math) in Piedmont Unified School District.
Since 2014, Piedmont Makers have been working toward the following goals:
- Support/inspire K-12 S.T.E.A.M. education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Design, and Math) in Piedmont & beyond
- Expand S.T.E.A.M. participation and “Maker” attitude, especially for younger ages and underrepresented groups
- Integrate with scope and sequence of Piedmont Unified School District K-12 curriculum
- Foster community by organizing robotics teams, running a Piedmont School Maker Faire, and holding regular Maker events
