Piedmont Makers

Piedmont Makers provides engaging and inclusive S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) experiences for young people in Piedmont, CA and beyond. We develop, support, and grow educational programs by partnering with and empowering families, educators, and the community.

Since 2014, Piedmont Makers have been working toward the following goals:

1. Support/inspire K-12 S.T.E.A.M. education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Design, and Math) in Piedmont & beyond
2. Expand S.T.E.A.M. participation and “Maker” attitude, especially for younger ages and underrepresented groups
3. Integrate with scope and sequence of Piedmont Unified School District K-12 curriculum
4. Foster community by organizing robotics teams, running a Piedmont School Maker Faire, and holding regular Maker events
